- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add pepperoncini peppers and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce and peppers over it, and heat through for 2 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Feel free to add sliced onions or olives for extra flavor.
- Serve with rice, pasta, or crusty bread for a complete meal.
