Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme for topping

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Transfer dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Gently stretch to fit the sheet.
  5. Use your fingertips to create dimples across the surface of the dough. Drizzle with remaining olive oil and sprinkle garlic and herbs evenly on top.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
