Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- Fresh rosemary or thyme for topping
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Transfer dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Gently stretch to fit the sheet.
- Use your fingertips to create dimples across the surface of the dough. Drizzle with remaining olive oil and sprinkle garlic and herbs evenly on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, brush the bread with garlic-infused olive oil after baking.
- Can be made vegan by using plant-based oil.
