- 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Mix mushroom soup, milk, cheese (if using), salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Combine green beans with the sauce mixture and transfer to a greased casserole dish.
- Top evenly with crispy fried onions.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder or a splash of soy sauce to the sauce mixture.
- You can substitute fresh green beans with frozen, thawed before using.
