- 1.5 lbs (680g) boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into chunks
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut cream
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch piece fresh ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Place chicken chunks into the slow cooker.
- Add tomato sauce, garlic, ginger, spices, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Stir in heavy cream or coconut cream during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro, alongside rice or naan.
Notes
- You can substitute coconut milk for heavy cream for a dairy-free option.
- Best enjoyed with warm naan or jasmine rice.
