- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, mixing just until combined. Gently fold in blueberries.
- In a small bowl, blend softened cream cheese with powdered sugar to make a swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture and swirl gently. Top with remaining batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Can substitute frozen blueberries; do not thaw before adding.
- For a sweeter bread, sprinkle extra sugar on top before baking.
