- 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream softened butter with brown and granulated sugars until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract; Mix until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing just until incorporated.
- Fold in oats and chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around edges.
- Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and let sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring.
- Use old-fashioned oats for the best texture.
