A classic chewy chocolate chip cookie with tender bites of chocolate in every chewy, golden treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown around edges.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
